So today I wanted to test out some new gear and software. Now the gear isn’t brand new to me. It has been with me for months but just got a chance to really try it out. As for my macro photography, I have used a Sigma 50mm macro lens for my Canon 5d mark ii. I always felt that I wanted to go with something a bit longer for my macro work. The 50mm macro was a great lens that I used mostly for wedding details and ring shots but now that I am getting more into macro photography, I felt I wanted something like 100mm or so.

I recently switch to Fuji and bought all new gear so I went with the Fujifilm 80mm 2.8 lens that is equivalent to about 122mm on a 35mm format.

Now if you are a Fujifilm shooter, you know that the 80mm macro lens is going for about $1,200 but I purchased mine used for $948 and when I say used I mean barely because to me it looked like it was brand new. The only thing that looked used was the box so this was an awesome deal for me. If I were you and you are looking for lenses I would try and buy used gear because you can get a lot of pretty nice used lenses.
